PREVALENCE OF JUSTICE ALL OVER THE WORLD COULD END TERRORISM

Islamabad, October 20, 2001.
Non-availability of justice and denial to rights to nations and individuals
is the root cause of terrorism, it should be removed if we really want to
eradicate terrorism from the world. This was said by Dr. Abdul Malik Kasi,
federal Minister for Health while talking to envoys from Brunei Darussalam,
Nepal and Republic of Iraq who called on him separately.

The Minister said, US could gain much from Afghanistan by being friends of
Afghans than imposing the present situation on them. He said, the issues of
Kashmir which is still on the agenda of UN, and Palestine if resolved could
have brought an end to terrorism whether by an individual or state.

The High Commissioner of Brunei Darusslam Brig. Gen. (Retd) Dato Paduka
Haji Muhammad said, if Resolution of UN is implemented in East Temore of
Indonesia it can also be implemented in occupied Kashmir.

Mr. Kumar P. Gyawali, Royal Nepalese Ambassador in Pakistan while making
farewell call on the Minister expressed is deep sense of grief over the
recent war-like situation in the region. He said the whole world is in the
grip of terrorism which needs to be eliminated. He said, his country is a
peaceful land-locked country but terrorism from outside had been imposed on
it. He was of the view, the socio-economic injustice between man and man and
nation to nation had given creation to terrorism. He said, Mullah Omer
seemed to be an obstinate person, he should have come to terms with
Americans and U.S. men should also allow the poor Afghans to lead their
lives according to their own will as envisaged in the Human Rights
convention. He said, this region of the planet is full of resources if all
the countries follow the principle of "Live & Let Live' terrorism could have
been ended.

Mr. Abdul Karim M. Aswad, the Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Islamabad
who also made farewell call on the Health Minister said, Iraq is against
terrorism.  He said, the Iraqi people are also the worst Suffers because of
sanctions and restrictions from the western world. He said, this has caused
loss of life of hundreds and thousands children & women besides economic
miseries. These sanctions and restrictions must be lifted immediately, he
added.
