British Council to hold
IELTS, PLAB tests
ISLAMABAD Oct 23 (NNI):
The British Council will hold the next IELTS test on 10 November 2001 and
the PLAB exam on 14 November.
For IELTS, candidates have been asked to attach four passport-sized recent
colour photographs, a copy of an identity document (ID card or passport)
and a bank draft for Rs 6,000 payable to The British Council Islamabad.

Those interested in sitting the test should contact Examinations Services

Doctors who wish to appear for PLAB and later work as Senior House
Officers in UK hospitals must have cleared the IELTS before they can be
considered for PLAB.
Part One of the PLAB exam is conducted thrice annually in Pakistan. The
next exam is scheduled to take place on 8 November 2001. In 2002 three
tests will be conducted, one each on 20 March, 16 July and 14 November.
The registration procedure for PLAB has undergone considerable change
recently and only those applications with GMC reference numbers and
personal details' forms will be entertained.
