PROJECT: 10,000 Computers for the Children of Pakistan |
The main purpose of this Project is to provide large
quantities of used Personal Computers (PCs) to selected Schools, Colleges and Universities
of Pakistan, in order to bring about a Computer literary revolution and to let the
Pakistani children enter the twenty first century with full confidence and to make it
possible for them to earn their own living and also create prosperity for Pakistan. This Project is a gift for the Pakistani
children, from the Overseas Pakistanis and a help for the Government of Pakistan in the
field of Information Technology and Mass Education. Another important aim of this Project is to make the
overseas Pakistanis pro-active and not to let them wait and depend upon governmental
measures only. It is about time that a
positive change in thinking is brought about and practical and concrete steps are taken
for the development of Pakistan, through self-reliance. This Project is being started from Saudi-Arabia and
soon will expand to other countries where large numbers of Overseas Pakistanis are
stationed. Efforts are being made to contact
and involve organizations of Overseas Pakistanis, in countries such as USA, UK, UAE, OMAN,
QATAR, KUWAIT and BAHRAIN etc. for the collection of Personal Computers in large
quantities. Dr. Mobashir (Jeddah, Saudi-Arabia),
