A Fine Art Exhibition was
held at Dhahran Academy High School on 13th May 2002. Abeera
Attique a young talented art teacher at Dhahran Academy organized the art
exhibition. She is herself an excellent artist and has already given 3 Sole
Shows and 20 Group Shows. She said her aim in life is not only to promote
her art but also the art of the students.
Mrs. Norma Hudson,
Superintendent of International Schools Group inaugurating the exhibition
congratulated the organizers and admired the student’s artistic abilities.
She said I have a strong interest in art, as I have been an artist. I am
impressed to see so beautiful paintings and would advise the artist to keep
up the good artwork.
There were about 230 paintings showing variety of works from water to oil’s
from pencil to pastels from relief to sculptures.
The most outstanding student artists were Heather
Yelle, Damien, Dana, Leila, and Eun joo, Sara Noor, Bisma and Farina. The
best realistic portraits were of Heather in Prisma colors; Leila is the one
who shows more creativity. Eunjoo’s watercolors were amazing; she shows a
lot of maturity in the style. Noor and Bisma’s oil color paintings were
outstanding. Damien and Dana’s high sized “Falcon” painting showing bright
colors was excellent. Sara’s Lady on couch was one the
best works on
display. Seema’s portrait of a woman with a sad face was one of his best
works. Farina has variety of works from water to oil and from pencil to
pastel. The sketch of the Arab face was outstanding; Victoria Roth displayed
a unique piece of art by painting a Falcon on piece of marble. Usman and
Nadine displayed their best realistic sketches. Suad and Rania displayed
best in oil and pastels. The other participant students included:
Nadia, Alaa, Saddaf, Sana, Nazia, Monique, Seemal, Diala, Rachel, Bryanna,
Faris, Jared, Tamar, Zadi, Maha, Mariam, Nazia, Karl, Talal, Nathan,
Brendan, Ashish, Jennifer, Katja, Eabra, Banah, Angela, Maryam, Mark,
