Riyadh, August 14, 2000 To mark the
53rd Jashn-e-Azadi falling on August 14, 2000, the newly formed Pak Cultural
Society is organizing a colorful cultural program on August 17, 2000 at the Pakistan
Embassy hall, which will begin at 8 p. m.
This was announced by the office
bearers of the society at a brief function held at the Hyatt restaurant. According to
Zahid Manzour, the tickets are available at the Al Hamra restaurant (Hayy Al Wazarat),
Madinah restaurant (old Industrial area), Al Sheikh restaurant (Shahrae Bin Ziyad) and

The cost of the tickets is SR.35 per adult, SR. 15 for children 15-years and above while
for below, the entry is free.
The office bearers of the Pak Cultural Society, which was formed in November 1999, are
Khalid Shuja, Zahid Manzour, Tehseen Qureshi, Shahzad Nabi, Farooq Qureshi, Syed M.
Dilawar, Agha Dhalwi, Ijaz Tahir Awan and Abrar Qureshi.
When asked why this organization was
formed, Khalid Shuja said that the main aim of society now is to aid the needy children of
the parents who cannot afford to send their children to the school in Riyadh. Once we have
enough funds, then we will also shift our activity to Pakistan as well in other fields
like arranging marriages of the blinds, providing air tickets to the needy families.
For the program on August 17, 2000 lot of entertainment is planned not only for the adults
but for the children as well.
The organizers are happy that lot of sponsors have thrown their support behind Pak
Cultural Society gala of August 17, 2000. They are Al Hokair Group, Lufthansa, Pakistan
