Toothache Cure-Relief Tip

So if you are suffering with toothache hope one of these will help. Pain in your teeth is an indication that something is wrong. None of these tips are by anyway an excuse for you not to visit your dentist as soon as possible.
To ease toothache or other mouth pain, make a tea by boiling 5g of fresh peppermint in 1 Cup of water and adding a little salt.
Peppermint is an antiseptic and contains menthol, which relieves pain when applied to skin surfaces
There are a few things you can try.
Personally I use oil of cloves. You can get it from most drug stores, chemists, you put a little of the oil on to some cotton wool and dab it onto the area affected. It will numb the pain.
You can also try the following take two whole cloves, the kind you stick into oranges around holiday time, place them between the offending tooth and your cheek. You might want to chew them a little to release their juices. This is a centuries-old trick that really works
It has been pointed out that prolonged use of Cloves and Oil of Cloves can damage the nerve of a tooth.
Another remedy is soak raspberry or comfrey leaves in hot water for a few minutes and apply directly to the affected area.
Another herbal tip is to drink an infusion of chick weed.
Another toothache remedy is to add a few drops of vanilla flavoring (pure or artificial) to a Q-tip, or cotton ball, and apply to the tooth and surrounding gum area for a few minutes. Works great!!!

CP Ladies Seminar Series kickoffs from Riyadh (Riyadh, 10th Oct.2002) -ContactPakistan.com, a global virtual community center that offers number of virtual services to it almost quarter of a million registered members from 61 countries steps into physical community events. It is not the first time for CP’s global operations but it is the first time in KSA that ContactPakistan.com Saudi team arranged a physical event for their community. It was an all female event arranged at Cocopalm restaurant. The course was offered using multimedia projection system with live demos. The course was designed to teach Pakistani ladies the positive use of the internet. The course was blended with basic knowledge of internet due to the fact that number of participants were expecting to start using internet after this course. It was a well-organized event. All female members present in the class showed enthusiasm and willingness to learn this new technology which would help them to understand that there is nothing wrong with the Internet and there are millions of positive use of this medium, Their discipline in the class was exemplarity. The opening speech was delivered by Co-Founder of ContactPakistan.com, Bushra J. Butt, commonly known in Internet world as B.J. In her speech she said, that CP has embarked into the reality world with a mission. We are not an entertainment club neither a community that supports classes. On ContactPakistan.com platform everyone is equal and there is no class, gender or caste. We are simply Pakistani, she added. She explained what benefit one gets by becoming member of one of world’s largest virtual community centers. Answering a question later about the fee to join CP, she answered that all professional services are offered absolutely free to our community. She added that our worldwide operations are based on community welfare and unity. CP has no commercial motive and from 1998 it is offering its services free to each and every Pakistani who joins in.
She also thanked on behalf of CP global team to event sponsors. She added that without the generous help of Zajil Internet services this event was not possible. She said this event is part of a series whereby same courses will be offered to Pakistani females across the Kingdom. She said that our next destination is Al-Khobar where same event will be offered on 31st of October inshaAllah.
As per the schedule announced, program started with the recitation of Holy Qur’an recited by Bushra Bashir. She later delivered the meaning of the verses read.
Mrs. Yasmeen Aslam whose professional services were rendered by CP and sponsored by Zajil took over the stage and the journey into the virtual world of Internet began. In her lecture she emphasized on the importance of Internet in everyday life of a Pakistani female. "No invention is bad, how we use and misuse it makes it good or bad. Mothers were asked not to take away the privileges from the children or bar children from the usage of Internet. She explained about the utilities that are freely available on net and can be easily installed on a personal PC to make sure that children are not dragged into the negative side of this medium. She requested her students to be a part of it, by being positive in thinking, friendly, trusting and firm when dealing and guiding the children.
As the course was designed to make use of multimedia projection system so a live demo of various useful sites made the event very interesting for those who were in attendance. She virtually toured various sites including cooking, search engines and surely the largest community center for Pakistanis in the Middle East ContactPakistan.com. Class highly praised B.j when her site www.CookingWithBj.com was visited and various useful tools were demonstrated which were very targeted towards Pakistani women and famiilies. The live demo also trained participants on how to open up a email account and how to use messenger services to talk to loved ones back home. They were also demonstrated on to use Search engines and other sites. Students were shown how to search for sites of their interest using search engines and how easy it is to bookmark your favorites. It was very encouraging for the trainer because the whole class' was attentive, alert and eager to learn. The proof of their willingness to learn was that when quiz based on what they learnt in the class started. It was very encouraging for the trainer and CP team that 97% questions were answered correct. Winners of the quiz who won various prizes were Seema Khalid, Zahida Bano, Razia Naheed, Umara Shahid, Saima Salman, Juvairiya Hashmi, Afshan Shahid, Ishrat Nabeel, Sheeren Shahid Aga and Shagufta Siraj.
There was some thing for everyone. Thanks to our sponsors all attendees were provided with stationary, free Internet access cards and a beautiful apron for each.
Complying with the worldwide policy of ContactPakistan.com, certificates were presented to all by various CP members. CP never believes that such community events require a VIP or so-called chief guests unless they offer significant assistance to any of the welfare organizations working for Pakistanis. After the distribution of the certificates all attendees enjoyed chutpatay snacks offered by one of the finest Pakistani restaurant, CocoPalm. The event started at 3pm as planned and ended at 7pm as scheduled.

Pak School Holds Co-Curricular Activities Week
(CP, Riyadh)- The Pakistan International School, Riyadh held co-curricular activities week from 5 to 9 October 2002. Students took part in qir’at and quiz contests, debates, sports events, cultural show and other programs studded with fun and frolic. The school Principal Prof. Majid Hussain said, these activities are aimed to foster socio-cultural activities among students and strengthen the existing teacher-student relationship and harmony through interaction at various phases of character-building process. BoD member Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Chaudhry, who chaired an English debate, Tuesday, praised the high standard of argumentation of students and their debating skill. Stage fear is replaced by high spirit of oratory and the students should continue to harness this habit, he noted.
Head Master Nadir Alam greeted the chief guest and praised his scholarly achievements. Teacher Nasir Gilani conducted the proceedings with competence. The topic of debate was "Imagination is stronger than knowledge," and the majority of students rejected the proposition. They contended that knowledge in reality is the basis of progress and socio-economic uplift. Adeel Ilyas, a seven-year old boy, who got the first prize, spoke in perfect and fluent English for five minutes, and at the end of his speech, he convinced the audience that knowledge and not imagination is a pre-requisite for development and a vital source of exaltation of culture and civilization of humanity.
He expressed his views with confidence and fluency and said the revelation of the Holy Qur’an began with the words "iqra" (read) which shows that knowledge played a dominant role from the beginning in shaping the human history. Another young student Moiz Ahmed, who got the second prize, said the poets and philosophers carved out the destiny of nation through their imaginative power and creativity. His presentation was also impressive. He said the creation of Pakistan itself was the result of imagination of eminent poet Dr. Mohammad Iqbal and other political thinkers. The third prize was jointly shared by Waliullah and Nabeel Khalid. They also performed excellently in discussing the subject on both sides.
Earlier this week, a quiz competition in both boys and girls wings, held in all four wings, generated a lively atmosphere. Ahmed Bilal of senior boys school was declared the best quiz master of the year 2002-3 and got the first prize and cash award for his presence of mind and speedy delivery of answers to various ticklish questions. Other prize winners were: Suhail Shah, Ahmed Humayun, Ammar, Salman Naeem, Salman Saeed, Hassan Hayat, and Usman Iftikhar. SIALKOT
Sialkot is a city situated in Punjab province of Pakistan.  It is located near Indo-Pak border, about 125 k.m. from Lahore, the capital of Punjab.  This city is centuries old.  According to tradition, it was constructed by Raja Sul. Famous Fort of Sialkot is still there but it is in the shape of a small hill now.

Sports goods, surgical instruments, musical instruments and leather garments are manufactured here and exported all over the world.  These products are considered the best in quality throughout the world. Clock TowerThe city of Sialkot is believed to have been founded by one Raja Sul or Sálá, the uncle of Pandhavas, whose heroic deeds are recorded in the epic Mahábhárta.  After his death some 5000 years ago, there is a tradition that the dynasty continued for some 1500 years and then the country was flooded and remained one vast uninhabited region for about 1000 years.  The popular belief is that it was re-founded in the reign of Vikramaditya of Ujjain by Raja Sáliváhan or Sálbán, who built the fort and city and gave the place its present name.  He was of Sia caste, and it is believed that the word "Sialkot" means 'the fort of Sia'.  Legend also says the Salivahan had two sons; one Puran by name , was killed by the instrumentality of a wicked step-mother, and thrown inot a well, still the resort of pilgrims near Sialkot , called "Puran ka Kunwna", the well of Puran. (A Mohalla in the city is also named "Puran Nagar") Other son of Salivahan , Rasalu, became involved in wars with Raja Hudi, popularly stated to have been a Gakkhar chieftain. Being worsted in battle, Rasalu, as the price for piece, was forced to give his daughter in marriage to his conqueror, who gave the territory he had conquered to Rasalu's adopted son. According to another legend narrated to Mr. Prinsep:"After the death of Raja Rasalu, the country is said to have fallen under the curse of Puran, for 300 years lying totally devastated from famine  and incessant plunder."  Sialkot is also the birth place of Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, commonly known as Allama Iqbal.  He was one of the greatest thinker, philosopher and poet of the age.  He gave the ideology of Pakistan.  His house is now a national monument.

Anger  in Teenagers

Mrs. Irum Bilal Toor (Jeddah)

What is Anger ?
Anger is a frightening emotion. It is a feeling rather than a behavior. Anger takes many forms from indignation and resentment to rage and becoming furious that in turn is the behavior that we observe or experience ourselves. Anger can be both physical and verbal which can result in destroying relationships, harming others, addictions, crime, mental illness & many more.
Why anger is more common among teenagers ?

Teenagers face a lot of emotional issues during this period of development. Relationships between parents & them are also changing as they are becoming more & more independent. This can lead to frustration & confusion that leads to anger, resulting in reactive behavior for both parents & teens. At this time the teenagers are faced with a question of identity, relationship and purpose. Parents should be more flexible in order to cope with their child. We need to respond rather than react to one another & to situations. The intention is not to deny the anger but to control that emotion & express it in a proactive way.

Look within ourselves

In order to have a healthy relationship during this time such questions can be asked to bring about self awareness in both parents & teens.

  • Where does this anger come from?

  • What type of situations results in anger?

  • Do I use absolutes thoughts like ‘must’ ‘should’ ‘never’?

  • To whom or what is my anger directed?

  • Am I focusing on what have been done to me rather than what I can do?

  • How am I accountable for what am I feeling?

Coping with teens anger

  • To avoid aggressiveness few things should be kept in mind.

  • Listen carefully to the child & try to resolve his problem.

  • Try to understand the situation from child’s perspective

  • Avoid using frequent ‘do’ & ‘don’t’ with your child.

  • Don’t blame or accuse which results in more complexility of a situation & ends all communication.

  • Work towards a solution where everyone wins.

  • Tell how you feel, stick to facts and deal with the present moment.

  • Showing love & care means your teen opportunities to be responsible and empowering them to make their own decisions.
