I cook it and everyone in our family loves it. A

it.
So here we start:-
1) Mix garam masala, red chili powder and salt in
yogurt. Mix well to paste.
2) Wash lamb chops and pour half of the yogurt paste in
a pressure cooker along with chops. Cook under pressure for 5
minutes or to chops almost tender.
3) Remove gravy and meat into a pan.
4) Add rest of the yogurt mix and ground beef into pan.
5) Cook on medium fire till water dried up.
6) Add oil and keep cooking for 5 minutes. Add a bit of
water if required.
7) Add green chilies, ginger, onion, half chopped
tomato and cook further 5 minutes.
8) Add other half of tomato and fresh chopped
coriander. Cook further for 3-4 minutes.
And your Kemma Champ is
ready. Serve hot with

Muslim
scientists and scholars have contributed immensely to human
knowledge especially in the period between 8th and 14th
century CE. However, their contributions have been largely
ignored, forgotten or have gone un-acknowledged.
I would like to share my few collections through CP. So,
people can read fascinating accounts of some of the most
talented Muslim scholars in history whose contributions have
left lasting marks in the annals of science, astronomy,
medicine, surgery, engineering and philosophy.

Food for Good
Eyesight |
Cold water fish (sardines, cod,
mackerel, tuna.) Cold water fish are an excellent source of
DHA, which provides structural support to cell membranes, and
is recommended for dry eyes, treatment for macular
degeneration, and sight preservation.
Spinach, kale and green leafy vegetables.
These plants are rich in carotenoids, especially lutein and
zeaxathin. Lutein, a yellow pigment, protects the macula from
sun damage and from blue light.
Eggs. Eggs are rich in cysteine,
sulfur, lecithin, amino acids and lutein. Sulfur-containing
compounds protect the lens of the eye from cataract formation.
Garlic, onions, shallots and capers
This items are also rich in sulfur, which is necessary for the
production of glutathione, an important antioxidant for the
lens of the eye, and the whole body.
Soy Low in fat, rich in protein, soy
has become a staple in vegetarian diets. Soy contains
essential fatty acids, phytoestrogens, vitamin E and natural
anti-inflammatory agents.
Fruits and vegetables Our mothers
always told us about these -- they were right. Fruits and
vegetables contain vitamin A, C, and E and Beta-carotene. The
yellow vegetables, such as carrots and squash, are important
for daytime vision. |

Mouse Cleaning |
|
Disconnect the mouse from the computer noting the
location of the connection so it can be reattached
easily later. Clean the outside casing of the mouse
with a damp cloth moistened with a mild cleaning
solution. If you have an optical mouse, your cleaning
chore will then be completed. If, however, you have a
mouse with a ball on the bottom, your mouse cleaning
has just begun. Turn your mouse over and rotate the
little donut shaped disk and remove the ball that is
inside of the mouse. A soft dry cloth is usually
adequate for cleaning the ball itself. If the ball
looks really dirty you can clean it with some water
and dry it thoroughly. The problem is usually caused
not by the ball, but by dirt in the areas that touch
the ball. If you look inside the bottom of the mouse
after the ball has been removed, you will see some
sort of small bars or rollers that the ball touches as
it rotates. Dip a cotton swab in water or isopropyl
alcohol and clean all the dirt off these bars. If your
mouse is really dirty, you will have to go over the
dirty areas several times before all the dirt is
removed. |

FRUITS |
As we work our way up the
pyramid, we find that fruits and fruit juices provide
important amounts of vitamins A and C and potassium. They
are low in fat and sodium. The Food Guide Pyramid suggests 2
to 4 servings from this group daily.
A serving is a medium apple, banana, or orange, 1/2 cup of
chopped, cooked, or canned fruit, 3/4 cup of fruit juice.
Selection tips:
Choose fresh fruits, fruit juices, and frozen, canned, or
dried fruit. Pass up fruit canned or frozen in heavy syrup
unless you have calories to spare.
Eat whole fruits often - they are higher in fiber than
juices.
Have citrus fruits, melons, and berries regularly. They are
rich in vitamin C.
Count only 100 percent fruit juice as a serving from the
fruit group. Punches, ades, and most fruit "drinks" contain
only a little juice and lots of sugar. Grape and orange
sodas don't count as fruit.
Try not to get into a routine of orange juice in the
morning, an apple at lunch, etc. Eat a variety!

Unity, Faith, Discipline
|

Amna Tariq, Makkah |
Dear
children, hope you all are doing well and enjoying reading
these articles. I enjoy getting your feedback as it helps me
do better.
Our topic for this fortnight is based on three words that we
often hear. Yes, it is "Unity, Faith, Discipline”. These are
not mere words. They are principles.
Life is a changing phenomenon. Aspirations and expectation
change as life moves on. However, there are certain basic
concepts, ideals and principles to which one should adhere to
continuously and all the time. One such set of concepts is
"Unity, Faith, Discipline".
Our leader, Quaid-e-Azam , always kept "Unity, Faith,
Discipline” as his slogan.
Lets take each of it turn by turn:
Unity
Unity stands for harmony and agreement. Ever heard the
saying “United we stand, divided we fall”. We, as a nation are
fast loosing this bond. When we glance into our past we come
to realize that wherever our nation stood united, Allah
blessed us with success and glory. In the 1965 War of Defence
with India, Pakistan army was so less in number than the
enemy’s artillery. But we had unity and strong faith in Allah.
And Allah blessed us with success and defeated our enemy. In
1979, Pakistan lost its eastern wing because of lack of unity.
If we have unity in our lives and if we go for united action,
in pursuit of our goals, Allah will bless us. Islam also
instructs Muslims to stay united as a brotherhood. Muslims are
brothers of each other. Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said
that Muslims are like a wall, whose brick support each other.
Faith
Faith means confidence, belief, trust. We Pakistanis seem to
be loosing the faith that we once had. Our forefathers, who
fought for this homeland, had a firm belief in the supremacy
of Allah, His help and their strength. They had confidence in
the cause of their struggle. They knew they were working
towards a good goal and knew their efforts would bear fruit.
They never lost faith in their struggle. Today, we feel
disappointed by little hurdles and downs that come in our
pursuits. We feel dejected. We must have faith in ourselves.
We must do our level best and leave the rest to Allah. Allah
knows what is best for us. So we must not lose faith in faith
in ourselves, and in the destiny of our nation. Rather we
shall have strong faith and confidence in the accomplishment
of our goals.
Discipline
Discipline means obedience and following of principles and
orders. Discipline is must for the success of any venture. If
we look back into the world history we see that those who were
disciplined were the ones who were successful. Its importance
is important in individual life and is of greater importance
where teamwork is involved.
We have to make
Pakistan
as a progressive, forward looking, problem solving, and
welfare-oriented state based on the eternal principles of
Islam. One could easily be a member of a family, or clan, or
brotherhood, citizen of a city, have the domicile of a certain
province and still be a good citizen. There is no division
between these various status or relationships. Of course, the
supreme loyalty among these is to the country i.e. the
national unit.
We have to have a vision because without vision, a vision to
see the future goals to be achieved, the vision to set
priorities, the vision to see a better future. We shall stay
united, have faith in ourselves, and in the destiny of our
nation and if we pursue the goals we have set before ourselves
in a disciplined manner without being motivated by sheer
personal gain and power, then we could make Pakistan one of
the leading countries of the world. |
