Urvi Gosht
Dasheen with lamb


- 500g Bhuna Gosht
- 500g dasheen

- 2-3 tbsp. fresh coriander
- 2 green chillies
- 1 tsp gram masala
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- oil for frying





1. Peel the dasheen and cut lengthwise into two pieces. Sprinkle with 1 tsp of salt and set aside for 15- 20 minutes. Wash the dasheen with cold running water.
2. Fry dasheens in oil until it begin to change colour.
3. Prepare Bhuna Gosht, add dasheen and cook for few minutes, stirring all the time. Add 3-4 cups of water and bring to boil. Reduce the heat to medium, cover the pot with a tight fitting lid. Cook for 20- 25 minutes or until the dasheens are tender and about 2-3 cups gravy is left. Add lemon juice.
4. Sprinkle with finely chopped coriander,  green chilli and gram masala.      
5. Serve with Boiled rice, Nan, or Roti
