RIYADH, April 10, 2000 King Fahad Hospital I (KFH) got off to a
flying start in the top Division I when they scored an easy victory over Diplomatic team
by 45-39 in the Nike Riyadh Team Tennis League (RTTL) 2001 Spring Season League which
began action at various compounds here recently.
A total of twenty-one teams divided into five divisions based on their strength of play
will battle for the top honors in each Division with prize distribution planned for May 31
at the Najd compound.
The events main sponsor is Sports Ghornatah, the sole agent of Nike products in the
Kingdom, courtesy of their assistant managing director, Abdullah Al Thehaiban and is
supported by BISON energy drink, which is to supply the drinks during the course of the
tournament.
Of some thrilling action in the top flight, Othman Al Enezi of KFH won the opening
encounter against Grebots 8-4. Salim Bitar beat Petersen 8-5. Enezi joining hands with Loh
set aside Bitar and Tufenkeji 8-6. Lastly, Ogaick and Tufenkeji down De Leon and Rodriguez
8-5.
