Mixed Berry Pie

- 1 pint basket small strawberries
- 1 half-pint basket blueberries
- 1 half-pint basket red raspberries
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sliced  almonds
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter, thinly sliced
- 3 to 5 tablespoons ice water
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2/3 cup seedless red-raspberry jam

1. Preheat oven to 400F. Grease a 9-inch pie pan..
2. Rinse berries and set aside to drain thoroughly.
3. Combine flour, almonds, sugar and salt in the bowl of a food processor fitted with a chopping blade, process until almonds are chopped. Add butter and pulse until coarse crumbs form, add 3 tablespoons water and the almond
extract. Process until mixture forms a ball, adding more water if necessary to make a manageable dough.
4. Use the dough to line the greased pie pan. Pierce crust with the tines of a fork.

5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until light brown, Cool on a wire rack.
6. An hour before serving, spread 1/4 cup jam over crust.

7. Cut the strawberries into half. Arrange the strawberries, cut side down, and other berries over the jam. Brush lightly with the remaining jam and transfer to a   serving platter.
